The rafflesia arnoldii has a stinky odor that smells like roadkill. The bloom has a whopping size of 3 feet( 36 inches) big! The plant likes to live in tropical rainforests, and the rafflesia doesn't have any chlorophyll! Instead it attaches its roots to other plants & sucks up the nutrients from the other plant . This means it is parasitic. Surprisingly its pollinators are flys , which is why it has bad odor! Most seeds don't survive, it takes a few years to bloom and it doesn't last long, and is rare cause of us.
The dodder vine is parasitic. The vine absolutely has no chlorophyll or roots, so it has sharp parts to pierce in to the stem and suck out the nutrients. It is a harmful weed, but has good properties and is a herb for medicines.
The plants size is a whopping size of between 6 & 8 ft tall!
The flower smells like rotting carcass to flies and humans can not smell it! But crushing its leaves makes a weird smell. When getting pollinated the fly will also lay eggs! As seeds they have wings to let them self glide with the wind to spread. the seeds are held in capsules. The plant its self is also a vine.
